1976… West Indies trounced England at cricket in a long hot summer (remember them?).
I moved from secondary high school to a grammar school.
Christ it seems a long time ago!

the other half was born in that summer of 76 and she has some letters her mum wrote from the maternity unit to her parents complaining that she couldn’t follow the windies game there easily!
