Snow ? Ooop north,

just spoken with Sister in law – she can’t get to work, can’t get her daughter to nursery, airports, train stations and roads closed.

Apparently it’s on it’s way down south today and tomorrow!!

Great. That’s mainly why I joined the gym for the winter months – I hate being outside in the cold cos I’m skin and bone I freeze fast.

Good luck lads, dig in and see you on t’other side.

Mine started yesterday as well Andy. All I can say is there’s no snow in the swimming pool. Two days, two swim sessions, 2 1/2 hour bike session. All indoors. Too cold or too dangerous to train outdoors at the moment.

It would seem that Humberside airport is the only airport open between standstead and Newcastle.
Unfortunately all the aircraft have diverted elsewhere.

I forgot about that!!! If it dangerous then we will re think. No one wants to crash and damage themselves or their bike.

I’ll post on here, text and call those who are coming.

I’m sure it will be fine- that or run for a bit.

the snow started up in baff just now, so by the end of the day we’ll probably be under 6ft.

went swim training last night and they’d not warmed the pool up properly after the christmas shutdown. water was 25c, which was a nasty surprise.

25 degrees? Yer big wimp! The heater broke in my club pool over Xmas… got down to 18. Brrr. Had also planned on a sea swim on the 29th but it was cancelled due to weather, fortunately.

I am bald, fat and rubbish. However, I have a very high pain threshold and I am an utterly stubborn arse: this is why I occasionally do better than other people.

combine it with the rocky style training of digging yourself out of the house first before finding some logs to hack at! snowing very heavily here in reading, couple of inches since 18.00! turbo it is tomorrow then – anyone fancy an online sess on sunday if we can’t get out?

All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.
